Automatically identify customizations and security
You need to ensure that analytics can keep pace with ongoing changes and customizations in Microsoft Dynamics, without the need for manual processes. The Customization Wizard for Microsoft Dynamics enables you to automatically identify customizations, and then import them, so that users have business-specific content instantly available for analysis. It can also be used to migrate security settings from Microsoft Dynamics, and to import data from custom-built applications.
Hardware Requirements
The hardware requirements for the Customization Wizard itself are minimal - it consumes resources only when you wish to migrate new Microsoft Dynamics customizations and modify or update the cube. Typically the Wizard is run on the Analysis Services Server.
Please note: Additional entities added to Microsoft Dynamics relate to additional dimensions created by the Customization Wizard. This means that in some cases the larger the number of customizations, the more RAM is consumed by Microsoft Analysis Services.
Software Requirements
Customization Wizard requires administrative privileges to install. The .NET 3.5 SP1 framework will deploy if it’s not already installed. Customization Wizard can be run on Windows XP®, Windows Vista®, Windows Server 2003® / R2 or 2008 Server. However, the Business Analytics Cube can be deployed to a server of your choice with Analysis Services.
Please note: Zap Business Intelligence must be installed on a Windows Server operating system.
