Our team of experienced trainers is ready to deliver a range of training courses that will maximise your investment through increased user adoption, reduced dependency on technical support and increased effectiveness of your solution implementation. Zap Training delivers:

  • Training led by expert instructors with years of consulting experience in business intelligence and data warehousing. Instructors are Microsoft-certified and certified on Zap products.
  • An optional pre-training evaluation of your skills and requirements.
  • Course numbers generally kept below eight students.
  • Optional customisation of training to meet your requirements, including the duration of classes, use of your own data sets, and goal-based training, for example to create reports required by your organisation.

Course Name: Zap Business Intelligence Consumer

Course Description: This course is intended to introduce the skills and techniques required to enable the student to connect to, browse and interact with existing Zap Business Intelligence portal content.

Zap Business Intelligence Designer

Duration: 2 days


Course Description: A two-day course for power users and report developers that covers all the Designer user needs to know to start creating meaningful and powerful reports. When this course is complete, users will have the skills they need to create reports, KPIs and scorecards that will enable them and their managers to analyse organisational performance and track business objectives. This course includes and builds upon the content contained in the Zap Business Intelligence Consumer course.

Zap Business Intelligence Administrator

Duration: 2 days


Course Description: This is a two-day course for the network administrator. This course covers the fundamentals of administering Zap. When this course is complete administrators will have the skills they need to install Zap, set security permissions, configure users and manage reports, KPIs and scorecards.

Course Name: Zap Office Designer

Course Code: 5311A
Duration: 1 day


Course Description: This is a 1 day course designed to introduce the student to the features and functionality if the Zap Office product. At the end of the training the student will be able to create, modify and manage reports created with the Zap Office tool within a Microsoft Excel environment.

Course Setup Requirements

Zap courses can be run at the client’s site (providing that the required infrastructure is available), at a third party training venue or on Zap’s own premises. Unless specified, all courses are run using Microsoft Virtual PC technology. The virtual images are provided by Zap as part of the classroom setup. To run the course, students will require access to computers running Windows® XP SP2 (or later), have VirtualPC 2007 installed and have at least 2 GB of RAM and approximately 20 GB of free disk space.

Alternatively, courses can be run using a virtualised environment. The training images are hosted at Zap’s site in Brisbane with the students connecting across the internet into the training environment.
