Brisbane-based Zap awarded again


Zap Honored as 2010 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year

Brisbane, Australia – (July 13, 2010) – Brisbane-based global software company Zap has been named a national finalist for the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) awards, after winning at the
Queensland iAwards.

The iAwards honour winners in 18 categories, in each Australian State and Territory, for providing outstanding technology innovation. Zap has been named the Queensland ICT Exporter of the Year, and is a state merit recipient in the Tools and Infrastructure category. The entries were successful based on the criteria of uniqueness, market potential, functionality and features, quality and application of technology, and application.

“Zap is especially pleased to have made the finals in the competitive ICT Exporter of the Year category,” said Garth D. Laird, President of Zap. “We are committed to expanding internationally, and to being a worldwide software vendor.”

Zap now goes on to compete for national honours in Melbourne, and the chance to represent Australia at the international APICTA Awards with the best of the IT services market in the Asia Pacific region.

The iAwards honours come soon after Zap was named the 2010 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award for Australia. The company was chosen from an international field of top Microsoft partners as delivering market-leading customer solutions built on
Microsoft technology.
