Zap earns three Microsoft Gold Competencies

April 6, 2011 – Business intelligence software vendor Zap has achieved three Gold Competencies in the Microsoft Partner Network. With Gold Competencies in Business Intelligence, Data Platform, and Independent Software Vendor (ISV), Zap has met Microsoft requirements for partners to ‘demonstrate a mastery of their skills…which identify them as being best in class’.

As part of the competency requirements, Zap CubeXpress software, used to create a data warehouse and Analysis Services OLAP cube, passed third-party tests to become Certified for Windows Server 2008 R2. Zap also fulfilled customer satisfaction, customer reference, and staff assessment requirements.

Zap Business Intelligence software is based on the Microsoft SQL Server platform, and Zap also offers out-of-the-box BI solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX, NAV and CRM. The company currently holds Silver ERP and CRM Microsoft competencies as part of its commitment to providing BI solutions for Microsoft Dynamics.

Zap's president, Garth D. Laird, said that the company fully supported changes to the Microsoft Partner Network made in 2010. "The requirements to achieve competencies are now more rigorous, which gives them added value and prestige," Garth said. "We are proud to re-affirm our commitment to Microsoft, and renew our core competencies at the highest level."
