John is one of the pioneers of the Australian IT industry, a successful IT entrepreneur and a continuing venture capital investor in IT companies. His qualifications include an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Queensland and an MS and PhD from the University of Wisconsin (USA) as well as completion of executive courses at Stanford and Harvard universities. John also has experience as a general partner in an Australian / US venture capital fund. He founded and led BHA Computer for 25 years until its successful sale in 1998 to US telecommunications software company Saville Systems. The telecommunications billing and customer care system developed by BHA is still a global industry leading technology today and has generated over US$1.5b in revenue. John has been a director and member of the executive board of the Australian Information Industries Association and was also chairman of the AIIA's industry development committee. In his private life John is a passionate fisherman, part-time beef cattle farmer, rugby tragic and former Australian Junior 100m record holder.

Chris is the founder and non-executive chairman of Computershare Limited, the largest and the leading provider of investor services globally, which he founded with an associate in 1978. He was appointed CEO in 1990 and oversaw the company's listing on the ASX in 1994. Since 2006 he has been its chairman, serving initially in an executive capacity, but relinquished his executive responsibilities in 2010. He was last re-elected to the Computershare board in 2010. Through his career experience with Computershare Chris has worked across the global securities industry for more than 30 years. His knowledge, long-term strategic vision and passion for the industry have been instrumental in transforming Computershare from an Australian business into a successful global public company. He has also acted as a non-executive director of Car Parking Technologies Limited (also as chairman) and of Webfirm Group Limited.

Before founding Zap Matthew gained extensive business experience through a number of sales and marketing management roles at Unilever, Pepsi-Co and Lion Nathan. He later created a marketing consultancy that eventually formed the basis for Zap and its proprietary BI software and business. A thought leader in the BI space, Matthew has for some time overseen Zap's product management team, which subsequently led to his appointment as COO. In this role he has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business and reports to Chris Morris as MD.

Throughout Jeremy's career, he has focused on company transactional work, with a concentration on private business and extensive experience in both project management and advisory capacities. Jeremy qualified in law in 1981 and worked as a partner with a commercial firm in Birmingham for ten years before moving to Brisbane, where he practised with McCullough Robertson from 1996. Jeremy subsequently worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was involved in initiating, structuring and managing a number of transactions, specifically equity investments and company sales, to successful completion.

Lex practised as a solicitor in Darwin from 1970 and in 1974 started his own legal practice which eventually grew to become, by 1988, Darwin's largest law firm. He then took time away from the law to establish a multi-award winning eco-tourism wilderness lodge in Gurig National Park. In 1994 he joined William Forster Chambers and there he became a leading barrister, undertaking many complex and demanding civil cases. Lex has taught advocacy with the Australian Advocacy Institute, locally at Charles Darwin University, and with the Industrial Relations Society and Northern Territory Young Lawyers for some 11 years. Outside the law Lex is noted for his knowledge and skills across the broad spectrum of the marine environment and his love of wild places.

Bill has 25 years experience in the IT industry, with 12 years in senior management roles with a leading global technology company in Sydney, Melbourne, Boston and New York. He has 15 years experience managing sales and consulting businesses, and is a recognized leader in the commercialization of early stage businesses. Over the past 9 years, Bill has acted as an advisor, investor, director, mentor and consultant to a number of early stage businesses. Bill brings significant business management experience as well as a strong knowledge of business strategy and sales execution models to the Zap team.
