We're looking for an amazing Technical Writer to join a fast-paced and interesting environment. You will be a motivated person with the ability to grasp complex software concepts and learn quickly.

You need to have solid experience in developing technical documentation such as programming guides, functional specifications, training materials and design documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a fantastic eye for detail, be highly organised and motivated, and have exceptional verbal and written skills. They should also be able to learn new skills and technologies quickly, and be able to cope with contributing to multiple projects simultaneously, at multiple levels of technical depth and detail.

It should go without saying that a suitable candidate – being a professional writer – will have no errors on their curriculum vitae.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years' commercial experience in technical writing.
  • Strong commercial experience in writing technical documents for software development projects, technical processes, solution design, training materials etc.
  • Demonstrated exceptional organisation skills, with an ability to distil relevant information and present the information in an easy to understand format to be used by BAs, developers, management and our partners and customers.
  • Exposure to a variety of technologies and platforms, e.g. client server, mainframe, 3-tier architectures, relational databases.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills

Extra credit:

  • Knowledge of MadCap Flare or equivalent tool (e.g. RoboHelp), particularly the ability to single-source multiple outputs from a consistent, centrally managed project.
  • Intermediate web-design skills, including standards-based XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
