Position Description

Zap develops a range of Business Intelligence / Performance Management software products and Business Analytic solutions that it sells indirectly through the Microsoft Partner Channel.

Zap works with a number of well known Microsoft partners including a number of large Microsoft Dynamics implementers.

The Partner Technical Specialist requires practical experience in the use and deployment of BI systems. Experience in a Pre-Sales or Business Consulting role would be advantageous.

The mission of the Partner Management Program (PMP) is to provide high quality support for our indirect sales team and certified partners to positively influence Zap sales. PMP are expected to provide Zap Partners and prospective customers with an honest and accurate vision of Zap products, solutions, services and ensure existing customers continue to have a valuable partnership with Zap.

Essential:

  • Experience working with presales, proof of concepts and the Microsoft platform
  • Good understanding of, and experience with, BI and Performance Management
  • Ability to work with software developers, partners, and other technical support people
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with people from differing cultural backgrounds and ability to communicate with people for whom English is not a native language
  • Knowledge of SQL 2008 Server Analysis Services and database engine

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of IIS
  • Windows Server 2003 and 2005
  • Experience with Business Applications
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX, CRM, NAV

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver compelling product solution demonstrations which tie Zap technology to Customer Value
  • Manage the technical aspects of our prospects and partner opportunities
  • Delivery of Proof of Concept presentations and demonstrations
  • Assist in driving solution selling methodology with our Partners
  • Provide technical assistance for Marketing activities, Support Regional Workshops - Actively participate in User Group Meetings, Participate in Sales Seminars and Trade Shows
  • Assist Completing responses to prospect / customer requests for proposals / information (RFP/RFI)
  • Build relationships (trusted advisor) with key staff in Zap's partner / prospect / customer organizations
  • Assist account managers and sales management through all the key stages in the sales cycle
  • Facilitate the transfer of skills and product knowledge to Zap colleagues, partners and customers
  • Assist in New Partner recruitment
  • Working closely with key stakeholders:
    - Management, Pre sales, Marketing, Consulting, Development, Support and other
      members of the Zap team
